QUALITY ASSURANCE.
Documented controls throughout the process.
AFP operates a documented quality assurance framework across four stages of production.
01
Raw Material
Documented fruit intake.
02
Process Control
Production controls according to product and grade.
03
Aseptic Processing
Sterilisation as a critical control point.
04
Finished Product
Individual identification and production/quality records.
TRACEABILITY
From fruit intake to finished drum.
AFP's documented traceability system follows each finished drum through every stage of production:
-
Fruit intake
-
Tipping
-
Sterilisation
-
Aseptic filling
-
Final quality inspection
For tomato products, batch identification also records whether the run was Hot Break or Cold Break.

SOURCE
Connected to the Western Cape fruit belt.
AFP is based in Wellington, in the heart of the Boland fruit belt. The company's relationship with ABL Farming (Pty) Ltd - the le Roux family farming business of De Krommerivier, Wellington - runs deeper than a typical supply arrangement: ABL Farming is both a shareholder in AFP and a principal fruit supplier.
That relationship gives AFP visibility over a significant part of its raw material supply, and strengthens traceability back to source orchards.
QUALITY TESTING
Independent microbiological testing.
AFP's quality framework includes external microbiological testing, contracted to an independent laboratory, alongside product-specific microbiological and physical-chemical specifications verified at each production run.
ASEPTIC PACKAGING
Built to hold quality in.
Aseptic filling into sterile 220-litre drums supports product integrity, a 24-month ambient shelf life, and reliable ambient supply — with no cold chain required from Wellington to destination.
